Talk about former times and history & perfect tense: er hat gesehen / vergessen.
Paul visits Grandpa. And he asks his friends in the group chat about Fritz. But he kept everything as a secret. So they don't know anything. And they are still angry at Paul. It seems it’s Fritz who has the book. Paul cannot confess to Grandpa that it’s gone because he is the last person Paul still has. Grandpa almost remembers the book, but Paul distracts him by asking him about the past: As a child, Grandpa thought playing war was great, but later not so much, because he only survived the real war by luck. Paul is also looking for Fritz's vacation posts on Facebook. With the help of the group, he finds out that Fritz blocked everyone from seeing them - except for Meili. A colleague wrote Fritz has just been promoted. Paul’s friends begin to understand his side a bit better now and he tries to get Meili to find out more. Grandpa almost remembered the book. Can Paul prevent that? Will Meili find out more about Fritz?

51: Das Lager ist nicht schlecht gewesen | The camp hasn’t been bad

Paul is still with Grandpa while Meili is sending a link from Fritz's Facebook page. Fritz was promoted because he caught the Großkauf thieves. That must be the reason why he is now the new head of the theft department. Anna writes that she has to empty her basement. She has a deadline, but a friend who wanted to help her just didn't show up. Even though nobody else can step in she still refuses Paul's help. Grandpa talks about „landing“ his plane in a forest and being a prisoner of war. Paul remembers Anna's shoulder is injured. She cannot carry anything. Grandpa advises him to quickly go help Anna. So he fortunately doesn’t remember to ask Paul about the book. Where are Fritz and the book? Why did he keep his promotion a secret? What will Anna say when Paul comes to help even though she refused?

Tell a story, talk about an accident & perfect tense with separable and reflexive verbs.
Anna has to empty her basement by herself. Her landlord puts pressure on her, but doesn't help. She drops a box because her shoulder hurts again. That's when Paul arrives. She reluctantly accepts his help. He gives her painkillers, and together they retell their bike accident story where she injured her shoulder. Later, she even shares an idea with him: He should go to Fritz's apartment and sniff around there. Previously, Paul hadn’t been sure why he should go there since Fritz is not even there. But now he gets enthusiastic about the idea pretty quickly. What will Paul be able to find out at Fritz's apartment?

Paul is near his apartment and opens Fritz's letter. It's two weeks old and it has the cell phone number of Fritz's landlord. Paul wants to call him and have the garage door repaired in Fritz's name. That way, he'll be able to open it afterwards, and sniff around inside. His problem: He doesn't sound like Fritz. He meets his neighbor and helps her carry her shopping bags. On his cell phone, he receives a push notification for an e-mail that his former online date Laura wrote to him. He can only read "You idiot!" on the home screen. Of course, he wants to know more, but he can't find the actual e-mail in the app. Where is Laura's e-mail? What is the reason for her long silence? Why is she, too, now saying that Paul is an idiot? How can he arrange the garage door repairs, so that he can sniff around inside?

Paul is sitting in bed with his laptop, researching surf spots in Germany. Unfortunately, there are far too many of them. He needs more information before he can go on with his search. He finds Laura's e-mail in the spam folder: She saw him yesterday and thinks he has a wife and a child. That’s because he helped his neighbor carry her shopping bags. Paul stays calm and gives her his Whatsapp number. She explains that she deleted her profile because the Finder app is stupid. And she actually wanted to get in touch with him by e-mail. But then she saw on Facebook that he is a friend of Fritz's. She says Fritz is boring and probably only has boring friends (Paul). Then she annoys him even more by bombarding him with messages. Paul doesn't feel like answering any more. But an idea occurs to him regarding the problem with Fritz's landlord and garage door repairs. What is Paul's idea?

Paul and Tim were at a football (soccer) game - Paul had invited him and paid for the tickets. But it turns out that the door and the opener are both new and cannot be broken at all. That means, Fritz has another garage and the opener must be for that garage. Tim is interested in Meili. He asks if Paul could arrange a meeting. Paul pretends that this is not a problem - but in reality it is because she is still mad at him. He reads Laura's many response messages: She writes to him because it was not okay of her to have ghosted him like that. Paul agrees with her. How can Paul arrange a meeting with Meili? He needs to do it casually on a date. Grandpa could remember the book at any time. Paul has to date Laura immediately to find the book quickly. Laura writes that there is something she needs to tell him. Meili answers that she can't help because she has „other worries“. What is it that Laura needs to tell Paul? What worries does Meili have? Paul writes Anna to ask her for some clothing store recommendations and learns about Meili's problems. Then he visits his parents for coffee and cake. Now they are very friendly to him because they have a guilty conscience: Paul has lost his job which is partly their fault. And Laura writes him that she is Fritz's ex-girlfriend. Paul thinks that's good because then she'll have information about him. But she surely thinks that Paul has a problem with it. So his plan to get a date with her is at risk. He needs to find a way to say he doesn't like Fritz anymore without getting into talking about problems a lot - it's far too early for that. Paul’s father brags about his important friends, including the head of the university. That’s when he gets an idea how his parents can help him, and they are very interested to hear about it. How can his parents help? What should he write back to Laura?
